Movement rituals are a series of movements developed to train a strong and flexible body, as a catalyst to get in touch with ourselves emotionally, as well as physically, a time aside to ‘let go’.
A daily ritual as a means to measure development within our body range, as a way to claim our bodies as THEY ARE, as a form of self-healing of impaired and injured body areas, as a gift to ourselves of time and space to do something FOR ourselves.
These movements are simple and can be done in a chair or on a yoga mat. They help and support the overall well-being, connecting to the breath and calming the nervous system while revitalising the system.
No previous experience is required.

This workshop is an introduction to the Life/Art Process®. It is an integrated approach that explores the wisdom of the body as expressed through movement, dance, and imagination. We use artistic processes and media to explore and deepen our relationship to psychological life, to traumatic issues, and to creativity itself.
There is an essential connection between art and life that can facilitate healing and change. Our real-life experiences feed our art, and our art informs the real issues in our lives. Movement and dance are a way to live a more embodied and creative life.
During class, we will move, draw and integrate through spoken words.
No previous experience is required.
Movement Ritual is a series of structured movements designed by Anna Halprin to help expand the range of movement, and set in motion creative expression. In this weekly sessions, we will tune the body, feel it as a landscape, connect simultaneously inward and outward perception, to allow imagination and hidden messages of the body to emerge.
Open to all. No dance experience required.
